Wednesday C1/C2 conversation club

I want to share my latest offer with my loyal blog readers who want a bit of help getting into good learning habits.

I realise that not everyone who is interested can join the popular conversation classes I offer. Perhaps the times don't work or the lessons are too far away. However, you can still experience some of the benefits of the classes. You can get into the habit of reading interesting articles on a regular basis, you can practice your speaking skills by answering questions based on the topics and you can improve your grammar and vocabulary at the same time.

If you have a good level of English but want to maintain and improve it, it takes work. I can help you with that by sending you a weekly email motivating and helping you to improve your English. Keep reading to find out more.

How does it work?

Each week I’ll send you an article to read or podcast to listen to, together with a set of questions which will help you practice your speaking skills. You'll have interesting topics to discuss with your work colleagues and friends and you can even record yourself on your phone answering some of the questions. I’ll also share relevant grammar tips based on the article or podcast and provide a short glossary to help you expand your vocabulary. In addition, you can opt to join a WhatsApp group where you can ask questions, encourage each other and share useful tips.

The Wednesday conversation club is suitable for advanced learners who have a level of at least C1.

Here are just a few of the benefits of joining the club. You will:

  • read about a wide range of topics

  • learn to deal with a wide range of accents by listening to podcasts

  • feel more confident when speaking

  • get to grips with grammar

  • give your brain a work-out

  • get into good learning habits

The Wednesday conversation costs just 130chf per quarter which is great value. It's ideal for students who are good at self study but need a bit of regular motivation to keep them on track.
