English for adults
We offer a range of in-person courses in Kreis 6 Zurich including conversation classes, exam preparation courses, general English and business English. All of our classes are also available online.
English conversation groups
Improve your fluency in a relaxed social environment.

The conversation classes are very popular with students who want to develop their confidence when speaking.
Each week we talk about a new theme. Before the lesson, students read an article, listen to a podcast, or watch a video. In the lesson, we study the new vocabulary together, then discuss the topic in pairs. Everyone gets plenty of time to talk, and students soon lose their fear of speaking. Each lesson includes a brief error correction slot covering grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary.

Cambridge exam preparation
Our experienced teachers give you proven tips and strategies to help you pass your exam.
We help students prepare for the well-known and widely-recognised Cambridge examinations, such as the Cambridge English First Certificate (B2) and the more challenging Advanced (C1) and Proficiency (C2) examinations. We also teach candidates studying for the IELTS and BEC exams.
By providing a structured plan, we ensure that students enter their exam well-prepared and confident. We share useful tips and strategies which boost the chance of exam success, and supply a wide range of additional resources, such as quizzes and online vocabulary cards, to keep students motivated.
Book club
Would you like to discover new authors, read some of the classics and, at the same time, improve your English? Our book club is for advanced learners of English (minimum C1 level).
Every second month we read a book and then meet to discuss it. You'll be motivated to read English language books at home; your vocabulary and comprehension will improve without even having to study!
At the bi-monthly meetings, we have a general discussion about the book and the author, then we talk in pairs about the ideas and themes of the book. There will be lots of reading at home and plenty of opportunity to speak in class.

Book club meets on the first Monday of every second month, from 7.30pm to 9pm.
Individual lessons
Individual one-to-one lessons are ideal for people who like learning on their own. Each course is tailored to meet the student's needs and goals.
We cover grammar and work on all four skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. We work with a coursebook matched to your level which you can also use at home for further practice.
In addition to the coursebook, students are given ideas on how to stay motivated and where to find English content related to their interests. Students who enjoy learning make excellent progress in these classes!

Learn with friends
Do you want to learn English with your friends and colleagues?

Get a group of people together and share the hourly cost of the lesson. Whether there are 2 of you or 20, the total cost remains the same so the price per person falls as the group gets larger.

Our teachers can come to your home or, for large groups, we can hire a room. Alternatively the lessons can be held online.

Online business English
The business English classes will help you to develop the language skills you need in the work environment.

All of our teachers have extensive experience in the business world and will help you to use English in a clear and professional manner with both clients and colleagues. We will also recommend language resources appropriate for your business.
Lessons are communicative and cover topics relevant for each participant such as presentation skills, e-mail writing and cultural awareness.

For young learners
English for young learners
English tutoring for children from primary school through to secondary school and gymnasium.
​
The lessons are adapted to each student and there is a strong emphasis on spoken communication to complement the English learned at school. We keep the lessons fun by including regular games and quizzes.

Maths for kids and teens
We offer exam preparation classes for the maths section of the Gymi exam and maths tuition for primary and secondary school pupils. With clear explanations, support, and encouragement we help young learners become confident with numbers, shapes and essential mathematical ideas.

The lessons are held after school during term-time. We are close to the Gymnasiums at Rämibuhl and Hohe Promenade, and the Sekundär school at Riedtli. Maths can be taught in German or English.
