Aim

The aim of the course is to help you feel more confident in English. We will do lots of speaking and will also practise grammar and vocabulary.

Book

We'll be working with Destination B1 Grammar & Vocabulary by Michael Mann and Steve Taylore Knowles

At home

It's important to practice your English at home. You can do this by working with the course book. It's a good idea to do at least 15 minutes every day. If you can do more, that's even better. As well as the book, you should also start listening to English. There are lots of podcasts you can listen to. One of the best ones for B1 learners is 6-minute English from the BBC.

Other activities include:

  • Use English whenever you can - talk to a neighbour or use English at work if possible.

  • Follow English teachers on social media

  • Start writing a diary in English - maybe just 2 sentences every day

  • Read some of the blog posts on this website

How to join
