March's Idioms

Here are a few of the idioms and expressions that we've come across in the conversation classes this month.


Adrian Chiles article

A clever clogs is someone who is very clever - it's often (but not always) used in a negative way.

He nailed it means he did something really well.

To bang on about something means to talk excessively. For example "Stop banging on about it!"

To take the words out of somebody's mouth means you've said the same thing that they wanted to say.
